Avocado scientifically known as Persea Americana is a tree which is native to Central America and Mexico and classified in the flowering plant family Lauraceae.
The word “avocado” is said to be derived from the Nahuatl word “ahuacatl”, which means “testicle”. Obviously, it describes the fruit shape and likely refers to the potency of avocado, which is supposed to be aphrodisiac.
