Thuja has a history of traditional use as a cancer remedy.

It was taken internally and also injected directly into tumors.

A 2009 study at the University of Kalyani found the thujone-rich fraction of crude ethanolic extract of T. occidentalis to have cytotoxic, antiproliferative.

Has apoptotic effects on the malignant melanoma cell line A375, with minimal inhibition of growth of normal cells.

The appearance of the fruits & leaves of the white cedar tree are like the neem tree
