Our 67% Australian hemp protein is high in fibre, which can help to regulate digestion and promote satiety.
It also contains essential fatty acids, such as omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9, which have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and improve heart health.
The industry standard of hemp protein is dark, gritty, tastes ‘earthy’, and is low in protein concentration (50%) due to the traditional method of extracting the oil and the difficulty in separating the hulls from the protein.
Through our novel process, we remove the hulls prior to extraction, resulting in a protein powder that is much higher in protein concentration (67%).
The resultant milled powder has an off-white / pale green colour, is light and fluffy in texture, and has an almost sweet, nutty flavour profile.
In addition to the increased protein concentration, the removal of hulls has been shown to improve protein digestibility considerably and improve gut health.
Hemp protein is free from all major allergens (unlike soy, peanuts, tree nuts and grains-containing gluten).
